Liezl Casanova was born in the Philippines and was raised in Seattle, where she’s the owner and principal attorney of Casanova Law Group.  A 1996 graduate of Federal Way High School, Liezl went on to attend University of Washington and majored in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Psychology, and received a minor in Chemistry. She received her Bachelor of Science degrees in 2001.

Liezl went on to attend the Seattle University School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate degree in 2008.  Liezl also graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Seattle University that same year.

 

During law school, Liezl was the recipient of the Asian Bar Association of Washington’s prestigious Yamashita Scholarship in 2005.  Liezl also received Seattle University's Albers Alumni Scholarship in 2006.

Before starting her own practice, Liezl worked at several law firms in Seattle.  Liezl’s practice areas include general civil litigation, administrative law involving the Department of Health and the Department of Social and Health Services, professional license defense, trusts and estates, family law, and business law. In her free time, Liezl enjoys reading, water sports, hiking, volunteering, and traveling the world.

 

What would you like a new client to know about you?

 

First and foremost, I listen closely to my clients to address their concerns. Before moving forward, I make sure that my clients know the pros and cons of their case, the possible outcomes, timeline, etc.  Every good attorney counsels their clients, but a great attorney is passionate about representing her clients.  I also connect with the Filipino community very well because I was raised in the culture and understand several Filipino languages.

 

What sets your law firm apart from other law firms?

 

It is the personal around the clock attention that I provide to my clients. My clients are given the individual attention that they deserve. I am wholly invested in making sure that I provide the best legal service I can in an efficient, compassionate manner.  I am also highly flexible in terms of accommodating my clients' schedules.
